Articles :  1977 Cessna 182 Skylane - Now On The A&E Flight Line!!
Monday, August 16, 2004
Fellow members,

It’s with great pleasure that I announce we have purchased a 1977Q Cessna
Skylane!

We have been working on the pre-purchase inspections for the last couple of
weeks and Thursday I flew out to Colorado Springs, CO to have a final look.

I’m happy to report the airplane is in fine shape and looks forward to joining
the A&E flight line!

The final purchase price was $73,500 down from a probate court National
Appraisers Assoc. appraisal of $89,000 (the gentleman that owned that airplane
passed away a year or so ago). They have been trying to sell the aircraft since
that time, but had no takers at that price.

When we started negotiating a few weeks ago the seller came down to $76,000 and
we agreed on a final price of $73,500 last week.

The vital stats are as follows:

Aircraft T.T. 5700/hrs
Engine 0-470-S SMOH 1039/hrs (1500 TBO)
Garmin 430 GPS New
Garmin GMA 340 Audio Panel
Garmin Digital Transponder
King Encoder
MX 300 Nav/comm. (#2 position)
Cessna 200 Auto Pilot
4 place intercom

Rosen Sun Visors
6 Cyl Priming
Barton Fuel Caps
New Tinted Windshield

The airplane is home at KHHR now and you’ll get further info over the next day
or two regarding check-out minimums and the hourly rate.

We should have it ready to be checked-out in no later than Wednesday.

I want to thank a few people who really helped the club with the due diligence
needed to bring N7598S home to A&E.

Clay Baker
Dick Schremser
Michael Bruck
Tim Thurston
Ed Somers
John Abusham
Gary Brenner
Bill Goddard

And you thank you all for your patience as we search high and low for a second
cross-country aircraft for the club.

Jay Carney
